About
My story

I'm Anderson So, Head of Site Reliability Engineering, with more than twenty years building and running the infrastructure behind products people depend on.
My path went systems administration, to DevOps, to SRE, across Manila and Singapore. I've spent most of my career on the side of the system that has to stay up: the servers, the pipelines, the monitoring, and the 2 a.m. calls about what to fix first.
Today I build SRE functions from the ground up. That means taking a team that is already stretched, giving them structure, visibility and a way to measure reliability, and getting them out of permanent firefighting. The technical work is real, but most of the job is judgment: knowing what to change, what to leave alone, and how to earn a team's trust before you start rewiring their systems.
I write about reliability engineering and the careers built on it, mostly for the engineers coming up behind me.
Outside work I'm a husband and a father of three, building toward a life where the work is a choice rather than a requirement.
